Would you like to know how I became a Robotics Expert, what I had to do to get there, and who exactly is the guy teaching you all of this complex robotics stuff?

Well, here it is!

My name is Federico Ciccarese, and as a young boy, I was extremely interested in Science Fiction Films.

This motivated me to start studying engineering, with the goal of creating my very own robot.

Unsurprisingly, the robot I created didn’t work, it was an absolute failure, and I did spend A LOT of time on it.

So what did I do? I kept studying, I discovered various techniques which I used to simplify the mechanics, I found out how to use 3D-Printing to my advantage, and finally…

I Made My First Robotic Hand!

This was a great boost in both mentality and skill, eventually leading to me creating my first Robotic Arm, and then my first Humanoid Robot.

I then spent MONTHS perfecting the process, making everything as smooth and as simple as possible, with the intention of helping friends, peers, and family.

And, a few years later, I founded Youbionic, a platform which allows me to help people that were in my exact same position, passionate youngsters which want to get into the Robotics Industry but they don’t know where to start.

FREQUENTLY QUESTIONS

  • The technical requirements to print the 3D files of our robots are few and simple. In general, you need any 3D printer with a print area of 200x150x150 mm, any PLA material filament (or others if desired), a slicing software to prepare the print files, and basic experience in 3D printing.

  • The time required to build one of our robots depends on their size. Generally, you can expect to spend 7-10 days to assemble a complete 3D printed humanoid robot.

  • The assembly of our robots is very simple, and all products are designed to make it possible to assemble them even for a child. In general, you need basic knowledge of 3D printing, electronics, and programming.

  • The average cost to build one of our robots depends on which part of the humanoid robot you have decided to create, or if you have decided to start from a complete humanoid robot. Generally, you will notice that the most expensive part is the servomotors, and we have chosen the cheapest ones on the market. Please note that a 25Kg servo motor can cost $15, and a 60Kg servo motor can cost $30 each.

  • The humanoid robot can be controlled using a control board and an integrated software that is very easy to use. The control board is indicated in our documentation and can be programmed visually without the need to enter any programming code.

  • Yes, we offer technical support to our customers. Our experts are available to answer questions and help customers solve any problems that may arise during the construction or use of the robot. You will also have access to our private group full of people with whom you can share your journey towards high-level humanoid robotics.

  • The 3D print files and other documents related to the robot can be downloaded from the link that will be sent to you via email immediately after the purchase.
